ABOUT THIS COURSE

Be the best pet parent possible. Know how to truly care for all animals through a better understanding of their needs

When your pet looks into your eyes, don’t you just melt? But are you sure you’re correctly reading the signs? Do you understand animal body language? What their noises really mean? Or are you second-guessing them? Our animal care online course is written by professional veterinarians. Study this to take the guesswork out of looking after your pet or clients’ animals.

Be clear about what your animal is telling you

Every pet owner knows how intriguing and complex animals can be. Each creature is an endearing individual and full of surprises.

Taking care of pets is so rewarding. But it’s frustrating when you misread them. And they’ll be unhappy because they’re not getting what they want. Learn how to take care of pets properly and, therefore, react in the right way to give them what they need.

Know how to take real good care of all animals

Cats can be spirited and mysterious. Dogs can be untameable but adorable. Learn to speak their language and fully understand their habits, instincts, wants and needs.

Once you understand each other - and you can read them like a book - your bond will be so much stronger. You’ll be able to take care of them better. Understand them better.

Healthy pets are happy animals

Four legs, two legs and no legs at all. Our online course covers a range of pets and their specific needs, care, living requirements and diseases.

It’s tempting to treat many pets like your best buddy. Like a fellow human. But they have needs of their own which are different to yours. Learn the importance of taking care of animals correctly, so that they’re healthy, happy and loved.

Learn at times to suit you

We’re your flexible learning friend. You can study animal health care with us at any time and anywhere to suit you. Once you’ve successfully completed the internationally-accredited course, you can get a certificate to show prospective employers or clients that you are committed to caring for animals.

Start learning to properly care for all animals today.

100% AUTHENTIC STUDENT TESTIMONIALS

I have learned skills for life and feel confident in speaking and helping other people. I'm getting close to my preferred career goal and the courses have helped with my day to day running of my husband's reptile shop. Very easy to navigate and well laid out. Love the personal touch of tips and web chats. Makes you feel that you're passionate not just trying to make money. Which is very refreshing and inviting. Jenni Gray - United Kingdom

I now have a better understanding of animals' behavior and how to manage it. I am hoping that this accreditation will help me get a position taking care of animals. It was very informative and easy to navigate. Also, you are very attentive to alert us and check in with us when there is a delay or an issue with the courses. I don't know any of you, but your emails have made me feel like you are friends. What an awesome educational experience! Debbie Taylor - United States

The format is very good - if I cannot complete the course, it brings me back to where I left off previously. The information is very thorough and I have been able to put some of it into practice already. I enjoyed developing further knowledge of how to interact with animals and learning what to do if they are in distress has been very helpful in my work with local rescues. I liked the self-paced aspect the most and I was able to complete it when I had time to commit to the lessons. Natasha Orslene - United States

The course content was brilliant! It also stuck to the point and didn't veer off into only distantly related subjects unlike some courses I have attempted in the past. The e-books are a great idea and very attractively designed, and very helpful. I really like the layout of your course material and the ease of use, and it's great to receive a certificate from yourselves, an accredited one AND the added bonus of the Completion Letter and the Breakdown Transcript! I am finding it very rewarding to be learning so much on these courses and I am certain the new knowledge and understanding I am gaining will be hugely beneficial in helping me to achieve my animal career/business goals and also my ability to care for and understand my own and others animals. The Holly and Hugo team are lovely people who are very easy to communicate with and are always helpful And their social media presence is an awesome way to stay connected and feel part of an enthusiastic community. Don't look any further for courses!! Choose Holly and Hugo!! Susan Grainger - United Kingdom

The courses gave me a good understanding of why certain animals behave how they do which is very useful since I help run an animal shelter I liked the length that I had to complete the courses and the available options to do so with my busy schedule. I've recommended Holly and Hugo courses to many friends. Jennifer Kanzenbach - United States

My Boss told me all about Holly and Hugo's Courses that have great insight on Pet health, care and other business guidelines. So I thought I might enroll in the Ultimate Guide to dog Grooming and got side tracked by other fabulous courses as well. The Animal Care course gave me a better view of how to correctly care for your pets, along with common diseases, what symptoms to look for and what to do when they occur. I would love to complete a few more courses that will help me achieve my goals. Selente - New Zealand

It has improved my life, I have started my own Pet Sitting business and left the corporate world to pursue my passion and dream. So to put it mildly it has change my world for the best. What would I say to friends is what I already say to them, take the course: it's a great value and you will learn, unlike other online courses that teach you nothing, with Holly and Hugo you have to pass a test and they are not easy questions to get certified. Patricia Lackner - United States

I have a degree in animal behaviour so it helped me to expand and relearn my knowledge around animal health and care. It also made me feel more confident about analyzing certain behaviours and in how to approach training. Jade Thomas - United Kingdom

I've researched a lot about online certifications and this is the best option by far, I wouldn't use any other. The variety of classes are packed with interesting and detailed information and are all you need to learn, useful real life skill building. The modules are set up beautifully and cleverly as to provide the most understanding and know-how of the course materials. I can honestly say these are all very engaging and a lot of fun in learning. I give the highest recommendation for both your personal and professional enrichment. I plan to keep up doing these different courses for a long time to come. Jeffrey - United Kingdom

It showed me about teaching my new pup clicker training and understanding that the dominant technique of training animals is no longer valid. Niki Courtney - New Zealand
